This course is designed to give civilians the practical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to respond effectively during active threat events such as active shooter incidents, workplace violence, or mass casualty situations.

Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, respond under stress, and provide life-saving aid while awaiting the arrival of professional responders. The training combines situational awareness, basic trauma care, and coordinated decision-making to improve survivability and reduce chaos in high-stakes environments.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding active threat dynamics and situational awareness

  • Emergency response priorities: Run, Hide, Fight strategies

  • Identifying and treating life-threatening injuries (bleeding, airway, shock)

  • Use of tourniquets, pressure dressings, and basic first aid tools

  • Communicating with first responders and guiding others to safety

  • Psychological preparedness and decision-making under stress

This training is ideal for schools, businesses, houses of worship, event staff, and any organization that wants to increase preparedness and resilience in the face of potential threats. No prior medical or tactical experience is required.
