davidCo-Founder - David Neubert, MD is medical director for Trappe Fire Company Ambulance, and serves as the deputy county medical director for Montgomery County, PA. He is board certified in emergency medicine and has spent his career working in trauma centers in NY and PA. He has 15 years of experience in EMS, currently as an EMT-Health Professional and EMS Physician. “Dr. Dave” recently was honored as the “Emergency Physician of the Year” by the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Systems Council. He received his tactical training from the International School of Tactical Medicine in Palm Springs, CA, and provides medical consulting for federal law enforcement agencies. He also serves within the federal Disaster Medical System as the chief medical officer of DMAT NY-4.






brianCo-Founder - Brian Pasquale, MPH, NREMT-P
is currently a PhD student at Capella University. He retired in 2007 after 22 years of Army Reserve service, spending his last 12 years in Army Civil Affairs. He has been teaching tactical medicine programs since the 1990’s and has taught hundreds of deployed soldiers since the beginning of GWOT operations in 2001. He served as a flight medic in Desert Shield/Storm and served in support of GWOT Operations. SSG Pasquale was a USSOCOM Special Operations Combat Medic - Advanced Tactical Provider. Brian has both domestic as well as international operational medical experience. Prior to his retirement, SSG Pasquale was selected to be commissioned as an Army Medical Officer and was awarded the Army Meritorious Service Medal.  Mr. Pasquale now serves as a paramedic and Executive Director of Trappe Fire Company, in Pennsylvania.






andrewAndrew Bershad, AEMT-P is a detective with the New York City Police Department’s elite Emergency Service Unit, a tactical and rescue unit that covers the city’s five boroughs and a population exceeding 8 million. He has also been in the emergency medical service field since 1989 and is certified as an NREMT-P. In addition to patrol duties, Detective Bershad is an instructor for the NYPD Special Operations Division training school in the department’s EMT program and is currently operating as a REMAC-certified paramedic in the city’s EMS 9-1-1 system. As part of the extensive training he has received, he is certified as a hazardous materials technician, a tactical medic and a rescue specialist for the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team.

Jeremy M. Burke FF/NREMT-B is a former U.S. Army Infantry Officer. Jeremy served overseas in Iraq as a military advisor to the Iraqi Army during OIF 4-5 working with the Intelligence and Operations sections. During his tour he specialized in assisting the Iraqi Army staff in creating systems for Intelligence gathering and analysis. Additionally he developed an abridged version of the US Army's Military Decision Making Process for the Iraqi staff and taught several classes to both military and law enforcement staff within his area of operations in Northwestern Iraq.  He has served as an Infantry Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader and Company Commander in the US Army Reserve and National Guard. He currently serves as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and EMT-B for Trappe Fire Co. No. 1, in Trappe, PA.









barryBarry Burton, DO
is a board certified physician in emergency medicine as well as environmental medicine. Dr. Burton has greater than 30 years of professional experience related to pre-hospital medicine. He has worked in high volume emergency room settings and has served in professional roles as medical director, instructor and professor of numerous programs related to medicine in challenging environments









frankFrank Congdon, PHRN
is a registered emergency room nurse that works at high volume Philadelphia Hospitals. He is certified as a paramedic/pre-hospital RN and is formerly a 13 year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department. He initially received his medical training in the military, where he was a Navy fleet marine corpsman with the 1st Marine Division/1st Marine Recon Battalion.









jeff-gewertzJeffrey Gewertz, EMT-P has been in the emergency services for 20 years as a EMT, Paramedic, Fire Fighter, HazMat Tech, Chief Officer, Tactical Paramedic and EMS Instructor. Jeff has over 8 years experience as a tactical paramedic. Jeff currently serves as the ALS supervisor for Minquas Fire Company, No. 2 –EMS Division in Downingtown PA. Jeff is also the Tactical Medical Unit Supervisor for the Western Chester County Emergency Response Team.








leon2 Leon Jaskuta, EMT-B
is a sergeant with the Tredyffrin Township Police Department where he has been a member for 24 years. He is currently assigned as a patrol sergeant and the K9 supervisor. Leon has recently retired from the North East Chester County Emergency Response Team which he served for the past 12 years and was formerly assigned as part of the team’s medical element as an EMT. Leon is an active volunteer EMT with Trappe Fire Co. No. 1, in Trappe, PA.








Shannon_Moyer_PasqualeShannon Moyer-Pasquale, EMT-P
is a veteran paramedic with Volunteer Medical Services Corps, in Lansdale, PA. She’s a graduate from the Montgomery County Community College nursing program, and has been a paramedic since 1996. She’s a county level EMT and PHTLS program coordinator in Montgomery County PA, and has taught hundreds of EMS professionals since beginning her teaching passion. Shannon’s unique skills and talents not only as a teacher, but as a program coordinator have made her an essential part of the Tac-Med experience. She has set the standards for realistic training experience by continually recruiting role players to support the scenario based training at Tac-Med. Shannon is the traditional EMS educational specialty leader and she offers a unique blend of teaching methods to prospective students.





mikeMichael Seifert, APA-C, EMT-B is a physician assistant in the central PA area. He serves as an executive member of a local EMS service, and has been an EMT for many years. He’s an Army Medical Specialist Officer and qualified flight surgeon, serving in the National Guard. Mike recently returned from a one-year deployment to Iraq where he served as a medical platoon leader in a front-line Cavalry unit.









georgeGeorge Thornton, EMT-I
, a federal Police Officer assigned to the Special Operations Division’s Tactical Medical Unit (TMU) within the Emergency Response Team (ERT) / SWAT. Has experience is in fire / hazmat and EMS response, CBRN / Hazmat Technician, executive protection, tactical medicine, Counter-Assault-Team missions and Law Enforcement. Officer Thornton spent 5 years in the United States Air Force as a Firefighter / EMS professional. Over 6 years experience working within a hospital setting as an Emergency Room Tech within the DC metro area. He also spent 3 years within the Federal Government providing CBRN and medical executive protection during CONUS and OCONUS travel. His responsibilities on the Medical Unit, is to provide medical support during federal warrant, Dignitary Escorts, Active shooter incidents, ceremonies and provide preventive medicine for all tactical operators.






woodsThomas Woods, EMT-B is a certified EMT-B that has worked in the custom protective services for many years. He specializes in close proximity protection as well as VIP and dignitary escort. Tom is a former Marine Corps NCO with international operational experience.
